MEETINGS WEEKLY
|

This low impact activity is gentle and easy and suitable for everyone. It is a deceptively effective form of exercise based on the Sun style of T'ai Chi and Chi Gung... helping with balance, flexibility, circulation, muscle tone and general well being. Although based on martial arts exercises, it is definitely not competitive, but feels very pleasant to practise. If you are interested in joining our happy band, please wear easy-to-move-in clothing and flat flexible footwear. Jo |

This T'ai Chi Group is specifically for beginners or those wishing to go right back to basics. It runs on Thursdays except for the last Thursday of each month. There will be some seated practice and the choice to remain seated or to sit down whenever that feels right. The aim of these sessions is gradually to improve mobility, flexibility, balance and body awareness, and reduce tension and stress. Jo also hopes that they will be enjoyable, relaxing and fun. |
T'ai Chi is a low impact, safe, gentle, deceptively effective activity involving both the mind and the body. With practice, t'ai chi improves mobility, flexibility, circulation and balance, it builds body and movement awareness and helps to reduce stress, to calm the mind and build confidence. In this group we work on tai chi sequences or 'Forms' derived mainly from the traditional Yang or Sun styles, although these are based on ancient martial arts training exercises, it is definitely not competitive! Our sessions are easy-going and relaxed, participants are encouraged to sit down whenever they want to and certainly before they need to. For more information contact Jo |
